The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated and accentuated a change already underway – a change in the education and skills needed for be successful in the workforce today and in the future. Forces including automation technologies and globally integrated markets are changing the nature of work and disrupting key career pathways middle-skill workers use to increase economic opportunity and mobility. Individuals will need to work alongside of technology and increase their digital skills to succeed in today’s economy and going forward.
Viable pathways do exist. This UpSkill Works Forum conversation will focus on the data tools, business practices and support frameworks that can be used to help individuals identify and navigate new career progressions.
