Join the Greater Houston Partnership for its Business Beyond Borders "Go Beyond Series" on Friday, March 29, 2019. The date of the two-year deadline of negotiations for Britain to leave the European Union and still no one knows how it will happen, if at all. Could Brexit be cancelled, delayed or could there be another referendum?
On this momentous day we will discuss what triggered the referendum, what has happened since and the future outcomes and implications for the EU, Great Britain, global trade and implications for Houston.
The luncheon speaker is Lawrence Hanson from The Law Office of Lawrence W. Hanson. Mr. Hanson specializes in international trade and import and export regulations and is one of the foremost experts in International Trade Law and Policy including the many facets of Brexit. Mr. Hanson is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s International Trade Development Committee. Since 1993, Hanson has been a member of the faculty at the University of Houston Law Center where he teaches law school courses in U.S. Import Regulation and U.S. Export Controls. He is highly sought for his insights on Brexit both in the U.S. and internationally.
