Economic Development Policy
The creation of a new economic development program is one of the Partnership’s Executive Priorities for the 88th Legislative Session. By creating a new, transparent, and accountable program, the Legislature can ensure Texas and our region remains competitive in attracting large capital-intensive investments, which will bring jobs and long-term revenue to Texas communities.
In February, the Texas Senate and the House Ways & Means Committee received a letter from over 250 trade associations, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations emphasizing the need for legislative action. The Partnership was one such signatory.
