Quality of Place

The Quality of Place Advisory Committee addresses issues that impact the nature of living and working in greater Houston. The committee focuses on developments that transform the way Houston looks and how Houstonians live. Improving quality of place is paramount to attracting the best and brightest talent to the region and maintaining Houston’s status as the most diverse city in the nation. Committee members collaborate to support advancements in local aesthetics, green spaces and public-private partnerships that benefit all Houstonians.

  • Develop support from the business community for new quality of place elements.

  • Advance collaborative efforts for public-private partnerships, including the City of Houston's 50/50 Parks Initiative, that improve quality of place.

Led by the Office of the Mayor, Houston Parks & Recreation Department, Greater Houston Partnership, and Houston Parks Board, 50/50 Park Partners will improve Houston’s neighborhoods, one park at a time.
