ABOUT THE EVENT

Houston’s continued economic competitiveness depends on a strong education-to-workforce system that prepares students with the skills, credentials and experiences needed for high-demand careers. Join business, education, workforce and community leaders for a focused discussion on the role of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in building the Houston region’s future talent pipeline.

This forum will highlight Houston-area school districts that are achieving strong results through innovative CTE and workforce-development programs, including effective industry partnerships, career pathways, credentialing opportunities, and strategies that prepare students for high-demand careers.

Panelists will also examine upcoming changes to the Texas College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) accountability framework and discuss how districts are adapting their programs, data practices, partnerships, and student-support strategies. Attendees will gain practical insights into how schools, employers and community partners can work together to strengthen student outcomes, respond to evolving workforce needs and support the region’s long-term economic growth.
